St. Agnes of Rome

For the Carnival of Saints and Souls show in New Orleans last October, I did a series of Saint dolls, based on Catholic Saints that are near and dear to my heart.

Here is my St. Agnes of Rome doll.

For the Saint dolls, I didn’t do a story, because their story is already written.  You can read about St. Agnes here and here.
St. Agnes was martyred at a very young age, they think about 12 or 13.  Her feast day is January 21.  She is the Patron Saint of Purity.

My St. Agnes doll is now on her way to Canada to be in the grand opening doll show at fellow doll artist Jacqui Gallant‘s new shop and gallery Dollirium.
